JSA... how can i backdate?

Post by hikz » Sat Feb 12, 2011 11:12 pm

hi, i got a letter from the HO on the 17th of Jan 2010 stating that i have been recognised as a refugee, then on the 10th of Feb 2010 i recieved my Immigration Status Document and Travel Document, so i rang Jobcentre and i have an appointment with them on the 14th in order to obtain a national insurance number. However, id like 2 know, in case i go on jobseekers would i be able to backdate my claim to the day i was granted permission to stay? and if so how would i be able 2 do it??

Thanks
Hikz

Backdate JSA for over one year is not possible.

Why did you wait so long from Feb 2010 to feb 2011?
