Housing Benefits

Post by hamid84 » Sun Nov 27, 2011 9:06 pm

Hi,

I hold ILR and wife does not have any status yet in the UK ( Application and appeal has been refused ).

I claimed Housing Benefits and put her name as partner on application and provided all relevant documents except her passport.

Now council wants to see her passport or they may stop paying housing benefits.

What do i tell them now and can i claim benefit as single parent? Will i get less this way?

Thanks
Arrived UK in Dec 2000, Received ILR Oct 2008, Citizenship Approved March 2016.
