Claiming child benefit when child is subject to immigration control

Post by surfsumi » Tue Mar 17, 2020 5:09 pm

I have ILR & my other child is British. My elder child & wife under on 10 year route ( child / partner). On HO approval letter it says " NO recourse to public funds. IN addition your sponsor is not entitled to claim or receive public funds on your behalf ". I thought i was eligible to claim child benefits for both children ( British & none British) under my name but when I read the letter it seems I can't for none British child. Appreciate your advice.
thank you .

You can claim the child benefit for both children.
