You will be fine if you post the application from 4 - 6 June 2010. Make sure it is recorded.

The guideline is clear in terms of when you should apply. My understanding is you apply within 28 days (NOT 29 days) of your second year anniversary in the UK whether the application is made in person or by post. I don't know if I missed something but 3rd June would be the 29th day when you count backwards from 1 July.

You would be ok if you apply on 4, 5 or 6 June. I believe you would be a day early (not 1 day late) if you apply on 3 June. And why would you not count 1 July? If he entered on 1 July 2008, then his second anniversary is on 1 July 2010.

Please bear in mind that 5th and 6th is a satuarday and sunday. the visa expires 6th june sunday. I presume the office willl be closed satuarday.

plus i would be frightened as i don't have enough days left to apply. I don't want my husband to become an overstayer. so are you saying that the ILR would be rejected if we applied on the 3rd june 2010.

This is just going up to a big deal what difference does it make if we apply 1 day early bear in mind that it's expiring on the 6th which is a sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All offices are shut on sat and sunday.

Completing application form SET(M) wrote:Please do not send us your application more than 28 days before the end of your two-year qualifying period. If you do, we may refuse your application and we will not refund the fee. However, you must apply before your current permission to remain in the UK ends ...
Now, I am not an immigration advisor but this is what it says on UKBA website. Why don't you send it by post? or Try 4 June if it is available.

28 days before 01.07.10 is 03.06.10, so actually applying on 03.06.10 is fine.

Can anyone help?what happened if you make an appeal about a refusal to award child tax credit ,after 30 days of the refusal date?(approximatelly 35days or 40 days later?).
Actually what happened was that we made a joint claim, it was refused and we were told by those stupid staff that my partner can make a single claim as she is the one that has an NINO,which she did and few weeks later she was told to withdraw that single claim and appeal the first joint claim and the 30 days were passed already but we did appeal after reading some of John s posts from this forum and awaiting for their response,at the same time we contacted our MP.
Another question, she actually claiming HB and CTB on her own, does she have to put me on those benefit also?(she is a refugee(5 years limited leave and i am destitute asylum seeker)
