Process for the employer to get a Tier 2 general resource

Post by abhigreen » Wed Feb 26, 2014 4:02 pm

Hi,
I am an employer, and looking for some help from this forum. Apologies if this information is already exhaustively documented elsewhere.

I wanted to reconfirm the process to get a resource on Tier 2 General

1. Apply for Sponsorship licence (applied and secured)
2. Request creation of restricted CoS . This is for a single resource. (currently in process)
3. Allocate of restricted CoS for a specific resource
4. Resource to submit Tier 2 application

Have I got the process correct? And does anyone know the approximate time lines for steps 2 to 4.

Best regards
Abhi

restricted CoSs are allocated to sponsors monthly, on the 11th, provided the request is submitted by the 5th. Once the sponsor receives approval from the HO, and the RLMT is done (unless an exception applies), they can assign the CoS immediately through the SMS.

The length of the visa application process varies from country to country, the information is on the UKBA website.
