ILR Question about Cohabitation Requirements

Post by eddybaloch » Mon May 26, 2014 2:13 pm

Dear Members,

Apologies If this has been asked before ( but I couldn't come across any information in my couple of days on this forum ).

I am eligible to apply for ILR in Sept along with my wife in Sept. Both of us arrived in UK on 10 Oct 2009. I have been on Tier 2 and she has been my dependent ever since. We applied for extension in Oct 2011 and then in Oct 2013. I understand that my wife falls under the 2 year cohabitation rule in general but the Form Set (O) states "please provide documentary evidence of cohabitation since you were last granted leave. So the question is that do I need documentation for only last year ( i.e. Oct -13 onward i.e. since least extension ) or do I still need 2 years? (This is because everything has been under my name and I had been throwing away any documentation with her name;regretting now . I only became aware of this last year and have kept good documentation since then.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Eddy
