Passport Validity for Tier 2 Remain To Leave Visa

Dear All,

My employer recently applied for my Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). I have got a three year research fellowship at Bradford University.

Following are my queries:

1. How much time will take to get CoS?
2. My Pakistani passport validity is till April 2016. Do I need to renew my Pakistani passport for Tier 2 remain to leave visa?
3. For English Knowledge, I have passed my MSc with Research in English. Is it sufficient that I get certificate of English proficiency from them?
