Tier 2 ICT Maintenance Of Funds

I am currently holding Short Term ICT(Intra company transfer)
Migrant Visa and My wife as dependent in same subcategory.

I would like to inquire about query below in regards to Tier2 ICT
Short Term Staff Migrant extension to Long Term ICT within UK:

Maintenance Of Funds:

I am maintaining the relevant funds starting from 1st of July,2014
for Myself and my wife as following:

My Personal Account: £1000
Dependent(Spouse) Personal Account: £1000

Required Funds as per new rules set:
Main Applicant £945 and £630 for dependents.

Please confirm whether I can maintain the funds in above manner in
Individual accounts instead of All of the funds in my own account.

you should return to home country and apply for entry clearance from there. Switching in-country is not allowed.

Hello Manci,

It says below in UK Immigration and Visas Government website that we can apply for extension within UK:

Eligibility
You must currently have a Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa.

You must also:

have the same or a similar job to the one you received your previous visa for
still work for the employer who provided your certificate of sponsorship
still earn an ‘appropriate salary’ - read the full guidance if you’re not sure

You must be in the UK to extend your visa.

T2 ICT Short Term Staff visas only allow stay for up to 12 months after which holders of these visas must leave the UK. However, if you return to home country you can apply for a T2 ICT Long Term Staff visa straight away if you have a new CoS from company you are working for at present and meet the other requirements e.g. salary - there is no cooling-off.

Your response makes sense that I will have to return to home country and re-apply for Visa straight away with new COS for long term ICT entry clearance and no cooling off period if re-applying with same employer. Please confirm if my understanding is correct?

In addition I would like to Inquire about below, if you could assist with this as well it would be great:

1. If needs to re-apply from home country after leaving UK , does maintenance of funds needs to be show in India account or UK account.
2. In former case , Can funds be maintained completely in my Spouse account in India for Me(Main applicant) and Spouse (dependent).

Ask your sponsor to certify maintenance. It is a guarantee which they give by ticking a box and doesn't cost them anything and would cover both you and your wife.

Dear Manci,

Thanks for confirming this.
If my company is not willing to provide maintenance letter then could you confirm about points raised in earlier post.
