Child's visa

Post by ashu.doc » Sat Sep 20, 2014 7:20 pm

hello everyone
I am on tier 2 general visa with my wife as PBS dep, and we are going to have a baby in december 2014. This visa is going to expire in feb 2015. Is there any point in applying for a visa for him/her after birth in december 2014? Or is it ok to apply when I am going to extend my visa in feb 2015, I can apply then for child as well?

Thanks
Ash

Yes, you can apply in Feb 2015 for the baby. No need to apply in Dec (unless the baby has to travel outside UK before Feb-2015).

Yes, its fine. The baby will need a visa to enter UK if he/she goes out of country. Otherwise, a visa is not required. However, get the passport done beforehand since it would be reqd during ILR application.
