Tier 2 ICT vs Tier 2 General

Post by swgirl » Thu Oct 02, 2014 2:00 pm

Hi there,

Presently in India and looking to get transferred. Just trying to figure out what my best option would be:

Tier 2 ICT (Long term): Salary requirements are quite high for this, about £45000 pa from what I saw online. I'm not sure what my employer will say about this.
Tier 2 (General): Significant difference from what is required for the ICT for this according to the SOC codes.

What I would like to know is that if I am going to work for the same company, will I be required to do ICT itself? Can I do a Tier 2 General application? Not on the shortage occupation list but assuming they do the RLMT.

Thank you for your help :)
