Tier 2 Visa clarification for history

Hi All,

My visa history is as follows:

Tier 2 ICT established staff - Start from Nov 2010 to 5th Dec 2011

After this I applied for extension and made a postal application around 24th Nov 2011 which was successful.

The confusion begins here:

My first visa was valid till 5th december 2011. I got the BRP after extension. On BRP issue date was mentioned as 24-01-2012.

My question is since my first visa was valid till 5th Dec 2011 and the BRP issue date was 24-Dec-2012. Does the duration between 5th Dec 2011 and 24 Jan 2012 counts me as overstays?

If anyone can shed some light on this it will be great.
