Switch from Tier2 ICT to Tier2 General

Hi,
Iam looking for help on Tier2 ICT switch to Tier2 General.

Iam on Tier2 ICT visa issued in Jan 2010 but travelled late in Nov 2010. From then on I have been in UK by extending my Visa couple of times. Now Iam trying to switch my Visa from ICT to Tier2 General.

My questions are
1. I believe my Visa can be extended in-country since it is issued prior to rules of Apr 2010. Can you confirm?
2. When I switch my Visa from Tier2 ICT to Tier2 General in country
a. Can I get a post date Tier2 General Visa so that I can serve my current employer notice period of 3 months?
b. If I apply for Switch and get a Valid Tier2 General Visa starting from Apr 2015 would I be able to work on Tie2 ICT in UK until then?
c. Before I start my work with new employer on May 1 2015 I had to finish my separation process with Old employer for which I had to travel back to India. So would I be able to serve my old employer until May 1st?
d. Assuming my Tier2 General starts on April 1st can I join my new employer effectively one month late (May 1st) from the data of start of Visa ?
