Tier 2 General - Changes in circumstances

Post by LondonGuy121 » Mon Mar 16, 2015 9:03 pm

Hi Folks,

I was granted leave under Tier 2 - General in 2012. Last year I got promoted with my job title changing from Analyst to Senior Analyst. My pay had also increased by 25%.

Since there was no change in core job duties i.e. SOC code, I did not make a new application with changes of circumstances.

However I have just noticed that my employer should have notified Home Office regarding my promotion and salary change within 10 working days which did not happen since neither me nor my employer was aware of it. I am due to apply for Tier 2 visa extension in the later half of the year and I am concerned that it is too late for the company to notify Home Office about my promotion.

Will it be an issue in my extension application even though the CoS may have the same SOC code as before since my job role and duties haven't changed?

Any suggestions or corrective actions I can take.

Thanks
