Please help - Tier 2 general refused due to salary criteria

Post by a4ashwini » Wed Apr 01, 2015 12:54 pm

Hi Gurus,

I have just received a letter stating my Tier 2 general Visa has been refused, and I can apply for a administrative review within 14 days. The reason being the salary did not meet the appropriate rate under SOC 2136. When I filed my Tier 2 visa in March 2012 the SOC I used was SOC 2010 and now as this SOC was no longer the listed, the closest my employer chose was SOC 2136 hence the visa was rejected.

So now I would like to know what are my options if I want to make a new application.

1)I do not want to continue with my employer as I don't think they will increase my salary
2)Can I make a new application if I apply it via solicitors,

If there are any other options to extend my visa please let me know

Many thanks,
Ash

1)I do not want to continue with my employer as I don't think they will increase my salary - In that case, you need to find a new employer who could be able to sponsor your Tier 2 General Visa
2)Can I make a new application if I apply it via solicitors - Yes, if you have a valid new CoS from any licensed employer

If there are any other options to extend my visa please let me know

Many thanks,
Ash
