Existing business status while on Tier-2

Post by sh7295 » Fri Apr 24, 2015 2:22 pm

Hi There,

I have business registered here in UK and I am the only director and shareholder. Now, I got a sponser for Tier-2 Visa from July'15. And, I will be working for sponsorer full-time and not being employed by anyone else. But, my company would still get an income even after I am employed and working for my Sponserer due to on going projects and the team I built.

Now, the question is: Can I have the company running if I am not involved with it as a an employee or I am no way related to it as a matter of fact (except being a shareholder)? Note: I am not a share holder in my VISA sponsorer. Could anyone please give me some details and advice? I did not find much information on here: https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/ . All it says, is I need to work full time for my sponserer and can work 20hours outside at the same level.

Thanks a million ahead!
