Tier 2 General to ILR - Expected salary band query

Hi Guys,

Something that has confused me for some time now and would really appreciate your help if you can answer this question for me.

I am on a Tier 2 General visa and am eligible for ILR in 2018. At the moment, if I look at the SOC codes, the salary threshold for software tester (experienced) is 29,900 GBP. Probably being stupid here but is there any announcement to increase this limit? I am just worried that my salary might not increase by much (working for a Govt deptt) and any substantial increase in this threshold may hamper my chances of getting the ILR.

Would appreciate your reply. I am also posting a detailed case list in a separate topic and would need your advise there as well.
