Potential problem in COS...

Hi All,

I am going to apply for my Tier 2 VISA and I am switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2.

I have plan to post VISA application in next week. But I can see one potential problem in my COS and I feel that it may be a problem and I want an advice from expert members of forum.

Start and End dates mentioned in COS:
Job Start Date: 13 July 2015
Job End Date: 31 August 2018
Date planned for VISA application: 31 July 2015

Question 1: As you can see from COS start and end date the total period is 3 years and 47 days, but I am applying for 3 years VISA, is this any problem?
Question 2: My COS start date is in past starting from 13th July but I am applying on 31st July, after 18 days. Is this any problem?

Please let me know if this can cause any problem then what changes I should ask my employer do in COS as change note for COS? Or I do not need any change?

===not sure about end date of cos. it supposed to be 12 july 2018. as mine was issued on 13th july i applied on 16 july and end of cos is 12th july 2018. i got my visa but it was one day service which is expensive but it gives u big relief. so go for one day service not posting.

===It does not matter as per my knowledge. you can use this cos within 3 months.

Neither of these things matter.

They will issue the visa for as long as they see fit. Are you currently working for the company? I see no problem with the start date being in the past as they will just issue the visa from the date your decision is made.

Thanks for your advice, Yes I am working for them already and I started work from 1st July.

My studies was finished in May and according to CAS I was allowed to work fulltime after 30th June which was official end date of my MSc.
