ICT Long term for Short Duration

HI , My employer needs to send me for 6-8 months for a project assignment however , I am only eligible for Long term visa as I have returned from Short Term in March.
Can i file the Long Term visa for 6-8 month duration ? or I need to fill the form stating duration more than 12 months ?
Please advice.

There is no minimum duration for T2 ICT LT visa. Your employer can assign you a CoS for 8 months. However, please note that once you return to your home country after this visa, a cool-off of 12 months will apply before you can apply for another Tier 2 visa.
