Tier 2 General Contract Job opportunities

I am currently employed by a consulting firm on Tier 2 General Visa Sponsorship. Although, I am employed with this company, my employer has clients in UK where I need to work on contract assignments. My employer has communicated me that, I can search for suitable contract opportunities within UK and if I found any then my employer would tie some contract with them so that there won't be any legal implications.

Below are my questions:
i) Is my employer genuine?
ii) Are we eligible to work on Contract Jobs if there is a contract between the client and my employer?
iii) Although there are numerous contract positions in market, companies/Employment agencies are not truning up once we submit the application. Is there any job sites where we can get jobs posted by direct employers instead of the recruiting agencies which are spamming up.
