Changing EMployers on Tier 2

Hello,

I am currently working in the UK on a Tier 2 visa. I have been offered a different job closer to where I live and want to know how I go about switching jobs. The new employer is going to sponsor me but I am not sure what I need to do to facilitate this. Could someone outline the steps and things I need to do with links to pages or forms I need to read. They are in the process of sorting out their sponsor status, I know I need a Certificate of Sponsorship from them.

My husband recently switched jobs within Tier 2 and we noticed that he has been assigned the same CoS number with the new employer as well. Is this normal? We assumed that the CoS number would be different through a different employer...
