Maintenance Funds for Dependents

Hi Gurus need experts advise

I am applying for dependents visa my wife who is currently holding T2G main applicant visa but switching as my dependent and my Child who were born in England never had any visa.

As my dependents are applying separately do I need to show funds in my bank for 3 months or this funds can also be in my wife account. Please somebody advise me as I am maintaining funds in my wife account, if not then I need to ask my sponsor for a letter but at present my sponsor is undergoing a merge and my HR has informed this in SMS not sent the evidence yet. Not sure if I have to choose letter from sponsor whether my employer is authorised to give or they have to use new company name letter head
