T2 ICT Established staff to T2 General

Post by bernard » Wed Nov 18, 2015 10:09 pm

Hi there.. If any of the experienced members could have a look at my case and provide some insight:

I have been on a Established staff (long term staff) visa since 1 March 2011. I entered 8 March 2011.

I have since been with the same employer and my current visa/BRP (T2 ICT Long Term Leave to Remain) is valid until 10 Nov 2016

I have recently been in talks with a new employer and would like to know what the procedure would be when it comes to switching to T2 General...

Questions:

A: Will I need to re-submit all my documents like degree certification, etc when I do the T2 General application? I already have a biometric permit (i.e the HMRC have my history?)

B: What is the order of steps when it comes to the switching process to the new employer? eg, Do I apply for the T2 General Visa and go through the new company sponsoring me before I give notice to my current employer? What comes first and what not to do?

C:With my entry date putting me here before the April 2011 rule change, will I be able to get another 5 years under T2 general to qualify for long term settlement route (10 years) As far as I know I should be able to get another 5 years, but still not 100% due to the many rules. Any confirmation of this would help!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance... :)
