Promotion and reporting change

Post by Mawi88 » Fri Nov 20, 2015 2:52 pm

Dear all,

Last week i got promoted to a new senior position with the same core duties (same SOC) and there is a signifcant increase in salary. I told the HR in my company that they need to report this change on the their system (SMS) ASAP. Unfortunately, the person who is resposible for doing this is on annual leave and he won't be back till the end of this month.

I am worried about this, and i wonder if there will be series consequencies on me and the company as a result of this delay.

I would appreciate any advise

Many thanks

The policy says that such changes should be reported within 10 working days.

I suggest your company either ask the person on leave to do this from home (shouldn't take much time) or probably nomimate another person in SMS so that they could do this whilst the main person is away. Or alternativelly they might call to UKBA helpline and ask them for an advice.

You need to talk with them and explain the rules and that the late reply might affect both yourself and the company.
