UK Tier 2 extension

Hi,

My extension for tier 2 is due on 15 July 2016 with new rules I have to apply online no later than 8 weeks which means maximum by 15 May. Last employment date on my current COS is 1 July 2016. So my employer can issue me new COS on 1 April onward only.

I am working for the same job, same employer, same role and my salary matched with the requirements too. My employer is willing to offer me another 3 years extension CoS just like the last time

I got few questions:

1. If my employer got any allocation available in system for COS application cycle 6 April 2015 to 5 April 2016 then can I use that allocation to apply for visa in may 2016 ( as may 2016 comes under new COS application cycle 6 April 2016 to 5 April 2017)

or I have to wait until 6 April and after that they can only issue me COS as it will come under same COS application cycle

2. If my employer request for renewal for annual allocation before 5 April 2016 and they issue me COS after 6 April 2016 how long it will take to generate COS as it says on home office website ''Applications are considered on the first working day after the 10th day of the month. This is called the ‘allocation date’. If you apply after the 5th day of the month then your application will be held until the next month’s allocation date.''

So in case if they apply for COS on 6 April it means I wont get COS until month of May.
