Tier 2 (ICT) Established Staff in-country extensions

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone can provided some much needed guidance.

I have been working with the same company for the past 13 years and have been travelling to and working in the UK since 2007 on a combination of Work Permits and Tier 2 (ICT) Visas.

Most recent long term stay is as follows:

1. Tier 2 (ICT) Established Staff Visa from March 2011 to March 2012 obtained from India
2. Tier 2 (ICT) Long Term Leave to Remain Residence Permit from June 2012 to April 2015 obtained as an in-country extension
3. Tier 2 (ICT) Long Term Leave to Remain Residence Permit from March 2015 to May 2016 obtained as an in-country extension.

5 years continuous residence in the UK completed on 21 March 2016.

Questions:
A. Am I eligible to apply for IRL?
B. If the answer to the above is no, is there a limit to the number of in-country extensions I can apply for?

Just so you know, the company I work for is an A-rated sponsor with UKBA.

Any and all advice welcome.

A. Unfortunately No (with 5 year rule).
B. No limit since you had applied before Apr-2011 rule changes. You can extend your current visa and can apply for ILR based on 10 years residency rule (provided your company agrees to extend your visa until then).
