Tier 2 Extension-Urgent help required:(

Dear All,

I have read previous threads but not sure if they answer my questions so thought to create a new post and get clear answers.Your help would be very much appreciated.

1.I got my tier 2 visa issued on 8th of July 2013 and is Valid until 3rd of August 2016. As per the link https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _clean.pdf, I can apply 28 days before 8th of July 2016 for my extension right? and not when the visa Expires i.e 3rd of August 2016?Reason why I am doing this because I want to avoid the new rules on 6th of April by getting a COS issued on 30th of March 2016(valid for 90 days) and get my visa extended on 15th of June 2016(or closer) by taking 8th of July into account?

2.My Basic salary at the moment is £26,500 per annum with guaranteed travel allowance of £1500 and £600 bonus making it £28600(which is required for tier 2 extension under SOC code 2421). I do get some other bonuses as well but they are not fixed and varies according to the performance so I am not including them on my COS. Problem here is that only the basic salary(£26500) plus £600 bonus appear on my payslip and travel allowance(£1500) is claimed through expenses and comes to my bank account directly. will this affect my tier 2 extension? Do I need to provide them my payslips for my extension or a COS(stating£28600) is enough for home office to issue me visa?

3.What work dates Shall I use in my new COS? previously I used Start date 20th of July 2013 and work end date 20th July 2016?

4- Even though my job responsibilities have changed as I got promoted twice since I got the visa , I am thinking to keep the same job title(Accountant Qualified) with same responsibilities I used in my initial application? will that be alright? just for your info, My Job title is still the same as I am a qualified accountant , it's the tasks which have changed with more responsibility and accountability.

you are wrong about most things.

1. you can apply anytime you want.. even today, even last year.. whenever.

2. Even if the cos is issued today, and then u apply for visa after 4 April, you will fall under new rules and u will have to be paid as per what the new experienced rate of your soc code is at the time you apply the visa and not when the cos is issued.

3. dates have to be less than 3 years, and start date cant be more than 3 months from when it is being assigned.. so if it is being assigned today, put 25 June 2016- 23 June 2019.

4. It should not be u who is putting this in the cos, it should be your employer. But yes, keeping it same as before is fine.

if i was u, and could get the cos assigned today, i will apply the visa before the new rules kick in (this is assuming the salary range is going up)
