NHS Penalty Charge Notice Impact

Post by yyyyy100 » Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:47 am

Hello,

I have recently received a penalty charge notice from NHS as I incorrectly claimed a free prescription during the time that my CH2 certificate was expired but I didn’t realise the issue. I have paid the penalty in full and the staff at NHS can confirm that the penalty charge notice is closed now.

However I’m really worried will such a penalty have an impact on my application of tier 2 visa in the future ? (I’m holding a tier 4 visa now and have got a graduate job starting next year)

Can anyone please explain what’s the nature of such a penalty charge? I assume it is normal civil penalty?

Also in the visa application form there is a section asking disclosure of “civil penalty under immigration act”, does my penalty go to this category?

I will appreciate a lot if anyone can answer my concerns as I’m external worried now, I even didn’t submit the claim for free prescription on purpose.

Many thanks!!!
