Work Visa / 18 year old dependent

Post by AmericanBK » Tue Feb 12, 2019 1:42 am

Hello,

I am considering taking a position with a UK based company that may be able to provide me with Tier 2 work sponsorship.

My issue is that one of my five children is now 18 and is a dependent who has never lived independently. When I look up the Dependent Child Over 18 section of the UK immigration website it made it sound like as long as my child has never been married or lived independently a visa is possible, but I also have heard that this is not true.

What are my options?
