Tier 2 General Extension - In country

Hi All

Tier 2 General visa is about to expiry on 09 October 2019.
Application submitted for extension on 12 September
Biometric Provided on centre on 14 September.
Decision made on the application via email on 14th september. --> Successful
BRP is not deleivered yet - 7 Working days completed.

Question :

The dependents (Spouse + Child) visa expires on 09 Oct 2019.
They need to make an seperate application before the visa expiry date, however in application form for dependents there are two questions relevant to it which is ,

In the section - The person you are joining / Accompanying

1.Do you have one of the home office reference numbers for Main Applicant ? which is a BRP Card
As per above the BRP card has not arrived yet and are quiet close to the visa expiry for dependents , Can we enter the Old BRP number which is valid until 09th Oct 2019 and proceed the application ?

Else select the option No , I do not have the Home Office reference number for it.

Assuming that the decision was successful on extension and the new Visa would have overriiden the old one.

I think you can put your old BRP number or the new reference number that's on your approval letter (if it allows that big reference number) and also explain in a covering letter/notes that you are awaiting for your new BRP to arrive.

Else select the option No , I do not have the Home Office reference number for it.

Dependants need main applicants info, so better not to select No. Also, why didn't you apply for them at the same time when you applied? .
