Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General Dependet/Spouse Visa

Hi,

This may have been asked earlier but I am really confused hence asking.
I am currently in UK on Tier 2 ICT and planning to switch to mf wife's dependent visa as she is on Tier 2 General. First query is that which application do I need to apply for, should it be Leave to Remain?
Second query is related to Maintenance fund criteria, as we are confused by few guys who have applied before. Currently we have sufficient funds in both our accounts but over the balance was not maintained over the 90 days period.
My wife is having A rated Sponsor and her employer is ready to provide the Maintenance letter.
Also, my current employer(Same that Sponsored me ICT) is also OK to provide the employment letter to me, as they are ready to continue with me once I switch to Dependent Visa.
Would my Employment letter provide strength to our application from maintenance funds part.
Do I still need to show the bank statements?
I need of quick advise as I am planning to apply ASAP.
