UK Tier 2 general visa

Post by LMRB » Wed Jan 01, 2020 9:25 pm

Hi,
I am on tier 2 dependent visa, my current company has agreed to sponsor for me tier 2 general visa, subject to that company does not find someone within UK or EU as part of RLMT.
As per SOC code the minimum salary for my role is £35000 per year
Would need clarifications on the below points please:
1. Is there a need to mention exact salary amount in RLMT.
2. What are the essential details required to be mentioned in RLMT.
3. What are the methods of posting RLMT, is it mandatory to advertise the job on 2 different sources.
4. What are the chances of getting a COS if salary shown while applying for COS is £35000.
5. Are specific numbers of COS divided for each SOC code.

1. Generally they mention a salary range.
2. Just like any other job advert. Job description or responsibilities, salary, etc.
3. Two different sources and at least advertised for 28 days.
4. It depends on the soc code, it's minimum salary requirements. Btw, the minimum salary would be based on certain hours per week calculation, which is mentioned in the soc list. So you can have salary prorated to your working hours as long as it meets soc requirements.
5. No
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Oh, forgot to mention.. you need to apply for your visa from home country and you need a restricted cos.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Thanks for your response, really appreciate.
Need further more clarifications on the below points -

3. Can my company advertise on their own website and Find a Job, will this suffice?
4. If my salary is £35000 and my SOC code minimum requirement is &34800. Is £35000 ok for a successful COS?

3. Yes
4. Yes

Btw, how long have you been on PBS dependant visa and why not continue to work for your employer on PBS dependant visa?
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.
