Resident Labour Market Test to Unrestricted CoS

Post by adeleliu83930 » Wed Jan 15, 2020 2:02 pm

Hi all,

I am currently applying for a Tier 2 Change of Employment application and hoping to clarify some confusion. I was sponsored by my previous employer on Tier 2 General and have been offered a new job by a new employer that will sponsor me on Tier 2. They have completed the Resident Labour Market Test last Saturday (11 Jan) and are now applying for the Unrestricted CoS to assign to me. The lawyer told me that she needs to submit some supporting documents proving the completion of RLMT to the government and that it usually takes a long time for the government to approve the result of RLMT and grant the Unrestricted CoS to me. This is against my understanding so I find it a bit odd. I was wondering does the government usually requires supporting documents proving RLMT and takes a long time to review and pass RLMT? From your experiences, how many days does it take from the completion of RLMT to assigning the Unrestricted CoS?

Many thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it.
