So basically, I’m in a situation that I have to change sponsor outside the UK.
I applied for a Tier 2 visa from my own country and got a decision very late due to a delay caused by covid-19. Although the decision to issue the visa has been made, as the 30-day visa has expired, it was not endorsed in my passport.
While I though I could just relax and see when I could go back to the UK, I found my employer went to liquidation. I understand in this case, their sponsorship license would be revoked, so I started looking for alternative employers.
As the new employer inevitably would ask about my immigration status, I’m wondering what I should say. Should I say I’m on a Tier 2 visa (which cannot be seen on my passport) or I don’t have a valid visa at the moment?
Also, if the new employer decided to sponsor me, should they go through the labor market test and restricted CoS application as well? If so, what should I do with my previous T2 visa then?
I‘m just so confused... if you could shed some light on this, that would be great!
