UK entry and validity of visa as T2 dependant while partner applies ILR

Hi everyone,

I was granted my first T2 dependant visa from march 2020 however I could not enter UK due to Covid19. mY partner is now eligible for ILR based on T2. I would like to know whether I can enter UK after his ILR application as I have not been able to travel to UK till now due to borders being closed in my country.
Is it advisable to enter first then for my partner to apply for his ILR or I can enter once borders open and he can put his ILR application. my partner's T2 visa is valid until next year 2021 however he is eligible for ILR now.

Should be okay for you to enter the UK within the validity of your leave before or after he’s granted ILR under Tier 2.

I also have two additional questions if you and other members can assist:
Please let me know where I can find this info in UKVI's website. Would you be able to please guide me as to whether it is date of first T2 visa grant or date of UK entry which is taken into account for my ILR as a T2 dependant?
I also wanted to know if the absence from march 2020 to the date (until I am able enter UK) will impact my ILR as my absence is purely because of borders closed due to Covid19.

If you arrive later than six months, then your qualifying period for ILR may start from the date of entry.

They may overlook “short breaks” due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) travel restrictions, but they didn’t define what constitutes a “short break”.
