Tier 2 ICT to Skilled Worker Visa

Hi,

I have the following doubts regarding the switch from Tier 2 ICT to skilled worker visa -

1. I'm from India and on a Tier 2 ICT visa with my current employer X. If employer Y sponsors me for Skilled Visa can I switch directly from ICT to SW visa in this case with a different employer?

2. Also, if the answer to the above is yes, then do I have to travel back to India and come back with the SW visa category? Or switching to different employer on SW visa is possible from within the UK?
