InCountry Application delay

Hi,

It has been 5 weeks since we submitted dependent teir 2 general extension application and i got a mail today that there will be delay in the application due to COVID, Any idea how much will be the delay and what can be a fair timeline

Nobody can answer this.
However, I have seen a number of cases where the applicants received decision within a few weeks after such an email
