ICT tier 2 VISA extension and passport renewal

Hi All
I need your valuable feedback my company has generated cos with my existing passport however after received the cos I have renew my passport and still I need to go for biometric for VISA extension. My question is do my cos again needs to update..

As this is not considered a significant error the sponsor can add a sponsor note to the CoS to rectify it.

Wait with submitting your visa application (which should include the new passport details) and the biometrics until this has been done
