Online application submitted with minor mistake

Hello Forum,

I need your valuable suggestion on this query.

I have attended my biometric appointment from UK and it was last week . After 5 days i have received an mail querying “ It appears you have applied to switch from a Short Term Staff category which is not applicable” . Could you please provide the reasons by replying to this mail.

Later I realised, i have made a mistake while filling my online application in that i have specifed as short term staff instead of Long term T2.This was bcoz in my BRP card it was specified as Short term.

Can I reply to the mail ? with the reason that due to the type on brp was short term i specifed as short term ??

Are you switching visa type - ICT to skilled worker?

If that is the case it a simple matter of confirmation of that fact and ensuring you use the appropriate wording to reflect the change.

I’m currently on ICT long term visa category and i have applied for visa extension but, while applying i had selected as visa category as ICT short term instead of long term Which is not correct. Hence case worker was asking query the reason why this category was selected.

As explained above, it was due to the reason that on my BRP Card visa category is mentioned as ICT short term ,hence i filled it as short term.

Can I respond with my answer the reason for mismatch ? Do you forsee any issue?

Really don’t see there being any issues. It is a minor oversight and your explanation will over it off.
