I'm currently looking to write a consent letter, which is part of the mandatory docs to be submitted for my child to travel along with me. Its indicated that the letter of consent should confirm:
• the relationship between you and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s)
• consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the application
• consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the living
arrangements in the United Kingdom and the address where you will be
staying
• whether one or both of your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have
responsibility for you
Both parents/legal guardians must sign the letter of consent, except where only one parent/legal guardian has sole responsibility for you.
My 3 queries with respect to above are:
1) The consent letter mentions about living arrangements etc., When filling out the visa forms , I'd indicated the address on the CoS and of an area (no address in particular) where we are planning to leave. No details of the address is currently available as we've not planned our stay yet (will be doing so after obtaining the visa). So, could you please let me know what should be written here.
2) "One or both parents have responsibility for you": a similar question was present in the visa form as well. Since I was the primary applicant and my husband and kid coming in as dependants. I ticked off only the box beside my name. Now that brings me to the question, where it indicates: "Both parents/legal guardians must sign the letter of consent, except where only one parent/legal guardian has sole responsibility for you.
Now, both my husband and I have signed the letter. Should that not be the case considering I've only ticked off only my name for parent "having responsibility for the child".
Thank you for patiently reading the above. Any information/response with regard to my above query, I would highly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
