Extend with a new employer

Post by Bilalhassan148 » Mon Jun 27, 2022 10:53 pm

Hi,
I am in a position to extend my Tier2 visa but with a different employer so my question is,
Do I still need to meet the English language requirements?
What I understand from the below link is that "You’ll only need to provide other evidence again if you’ve been in the UK for less than one year."
https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... r-employer

Because I have lived for more than a year so I am thinking I don't need to meet that requirement.
So I have all mentioned in the "Documents you'll need to apply" except a valid English (IELTS) certificate.

Thanks, :)

"You’ll usually need to prove your knowledge of the English language when you apply, unless you did this in a previous successful visa application."

Skilled Worker visa - Knowledge of English

You're not extending your visa, you will apply for a new one (change of employer - new application).

Hi lolo2,
Thanks for your response.

Actually when I say extend that means my current vis is going to expire next month and I am going to extend with a new sponsor.

Yes, I have met the English requirement in my previous application.

Thanks,
Bilal
