Are there *any* Scale-up employers?

Post by sah10406 » Thu Mar 02, 2023 10:50 am

Am I reading the employer list correctly when seeing that there are no employers currently sponsoring Scale-up visas, despite the visa launching in August 2022?

The Scale-up visa gov.uk page says

Check if your UK employer is eligible to sponsor you

Your UK employer will be on the list of approved UK employers if they’re eligible to sponsor you. ‘Scale-up Worker’ must be listed in the ‘Route’ column in the table.

That links to the global list of licensed employers for all types of work visa. On the current list (1 March 2023) I see exactly 0 employers with the Scale-up route option.

A-ha thanks. I did a text search of the online list for various versions of the phrase Scale-up, and nothing at all came up.

Yea, first Scale-up mention in Excel is cell 4392, which doesn't fit in first 1000 rows online.

Thanks a million. Should not have tried to do a short-cut.

Just to clarify, I can now see by sorting the relevant column that there are currently 19 Scale-up employers.
