Hyphen as last name in brp as last name in passport is blank

Hi everyone.

I am from India and my passport was having no surname and my full name is written in given name. Now I got my skilled worker visa and in my BRP they have written hyphen "-" in last name as it won't accept blank surname and full name in first name.
My query is that
1. If it is fine as I already got my skilled worker visa
2. Will it not cause any issue in long run like when applying for ILR etc??

I don’t believe it will cause any issues with any future immigration applications. It is a simple matter of the systems were not designed with a possibility that people only have a given name. So in order to overcome this an identifier has been placed in the surname either to perused the system to process the BRP or in the alternative to show it is noted that there is no surname.

Or a lighter note if they entered N/A you would become MR Or Mrs or Ms N/A

It is fine and will not cause you any issue.

Thanks guys. I am asking this as I was confused wether my agent did a mistake by putting -. Even though I got skilled worker visa . I was just worried about future issues.
