CoS allocation increase

Hello,

I am currently staying in the UK under Graduate visa which is due to expire on 15th October. I have received an offer for a software developer job recently and they agreed to sponsor me. But yesterday when submitting my visa application through a solicitor, it turned out that my employer ran out of undefined CoS allocation for this year. Now they are going to apply for an increase in CoS allocation which I believe can take up to 18 weeks though the standard method. My question is does it really take that long since I don't really have much time in hand?

I am aware of the premium method which takes only 5 days and my employer will go for that. But I read somewhere that they are not easy get hold of as only 60 premiums are released every day.
