Employer Sponsorship Licence Expired

Post by HappyAlways » Sun Jan 21, 2024 11:21 am

Hello,
I am on Tier2 General Visa sponsored by a small firm, for 5 years since 2019. I will be eligible to apply for ILR in next couple of months. I have realised that my Employer missed to renew their Sponsorship Licence when it was due about 10 months ago. My Visa is valid for next couple of months. I haven't received any letter or email from home office about curtailment. My contact details are up to date in their records.

My employer realised their mistake and are in the process of applying for new sponsorship licence. If my employer will be successful in obtaining new sponsorship licence, what would be my options? Could someone help me to understand about those options, if any.

I can see few other threads with similar situation but none of them are closed to completion. They have asked for suggestions and there were few replies but none of them concluded with what happened at the end.

Appreciate help.
Thanks

It very much depends ion the route UKVI demand your employer takes. They might grant a concession and allow them to renew the license. If not it will be a whole new application.
The outcome from your employer will point to what your outcome will be.
The best outcome would allow you to maintain your visa without having to apply again.

Just to close this topic, I have now switched the employer. Applied and got skilled worker visa with new employer.
