Can I bring my wife to UK, Im a skilled worker

Post by Afjal » Tue Jun 04, 2024 9:05 pm

Hi,
I switch my visa student to care worker last 1 feb 2023, I lost my job November 2023. Again I got new sponsorship 17 may 2024. My question is Could I bring my dependent from outside UK? After 4 april 2024 says that, care worker are restricted to bring their dependent.

The Immigration Rules changed on the 11th March 2024 and holders of a Care Worker visa are no longer able to apply for dependents to join them in the UK.

New laws to cut migration and tackle care worker visa abuse
in order to crack down on worker exploitation and abuse within the sector.
Will excluding dependants solve the care worker visa’s exploitation and abuse within the sector ?

Punishing victims, rather than protecting them, seems to be another self-harm policy?

Why not only go after the actual perpetrators fairly?
