Visa Renewal Advice Needed After Company Acquisition

Hi everyone,

I’m currently on a Skilled Worker Visa (3 years), which is set to expire on December 12, 2024. Earlier this year, my company was acquired by another organization. My job, role, and position haven’t changed—it’s purely a change in ownership. The new company will be issuing me a new Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

I’m unsure about the visa application process in this situation. Given that my role and job details are the same, do I need to apply for a visa extension using the new CoS, or should I apply for an entirely new Skilled Worker Visa?

Any guidance or experiences with a similar situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
