I am writing to inquire about the transfer of our Skilled Worker Dependent visas.
My visa application for myself and my children was approved in January 2024. The visa, valid for three years until December 2026, was issued with a vignette (sticker) on my passport that expired in March 2024.
Due to unforeseen family circumstances, we were unable to travel to the UK within the vignette's validity period.
We are now ready to travel and are exploring the options for transferring the visa. I would appreciate your guidance on the following:
- Is https://www.gov.uk/transfer-visa the correct process for this situation?
- Is it permissible to apply for a vignette transfer after a year of the initial vignette's issuance?
- Are we required to submit any supporting documentation to explain the reasons for our delayed travel?
- What is the typical process for vignette transfer applications? Can I expect a straightforward approval, or will there be further checks or inquiries from the case officer regarding our delayed travel? For that any additional documents to be submitted ?
Thanks, SB
