Eligibility of Dependent for ILR

Post by Praveen_71 » Mon Mar 31, 2025 1:00 pm

Hi,
I hope you are doing good.

I have a small concern on my family ILR. Actually I came to UK on 19th Aug, 2022 on Tier-1 Sponsorship skilled visa. My wife & children joined me here in UK on February, 2023. I mean they came after 6 months of my arrival to U.K. Actually my visa was only for 3 years and on July, 2025 is getting expired. So, I want to know shall i go for 2 year of sponsorship only till July, 2027 ( as per my 5 years of completion) to eligible for my ILR. How the eligibility for my wife & children will be consider for ILR as their total duration on July, 2027 will be only 4.5 years. Do i need to go for another 3 year of sponsorship extension so that my wife & children could also complete their 5 year stay here in U.K? What is the best approach, please advise.

Note:- Company is sponsoring the expenses of my visa only, i have to bear the expenses for my family from my pocket.

Regards,
Praveen
