Child dependent visa extension - brp appointments

hello,

I am applying for my child dependent visa extension and have following queries, would be really helpful if some one can help me with these.
1. Will biometric appointment be required for dependent visa extension application if identity check is already done using UKVI id check App. Fingure prints were given for biometric previously around 3 year ago.

2. when is the latest biometric appointment availability at present if some one has recently booked in London region. is it available in a week time? (I am yet to submit application and pay the fee and waiting to cover/align time for next ILR application timings)
