Want to switch from Tier2 to Tier1

Dear All,

I am here UK in Tier2 till Mar 2010 visa expiring in Apr 2010 and want to apply for Tier1 from here only.
When should I apply?
What all documents are required?
Is it beneficial to take help of any agent or direct application is better.
Will I score enough points? My details are as follows:
Indian salary around (converted to GBP)- £ 5200 + getting allowance here
qualifications - BSc. , MCA (from India only)
work exp - 4+ yrs in software


What do you think about the job prospects in 2010? Will I get one?

Read the related guidence as it clearly answers all the questions, documents and salary requiremenst. The only thing is that for Tier1 General u need to have a Masters qualification and if you have a Masters from India Then it needs to be verified by UK NARIC. Its all explained in the guidence.
